Bloodhounds and Search and Rescue

Bloodhounds and Search and Rescue

For some of you who have visited our website, >>> Davidson Kennels <<< you know that we raise Bloodhounds for Search and Rescue and for Family Pets.
Here are some interesting facts about the Bloodhound that you may or may not know:
( from Wikipedia)

The Bloodhound (also known as the St. Hubert hound and Sleuth Hound) is a large breed of dog that was bred originally to hunt deer and wild boar, later specifically to track human beings by scent. It is famed for its ability to follow scents hours or even days old over great distances. Its extraordinarily keen nose is combined with a strong and tenacious tracking instinct, producing the ideal scent hound, and it is used by police and law enforcement all over the world to track escaped prisoners, missing people, and even lost pets.  To read more about the bloodhound...>>> CLICK HERE <<<

If you are interested in a Bloodhound for Search and Rescue, or a pup for your family, please give us a call so we may get you on our list of individuals who have already come our way.  As of to date, we have 7 of our dogs in the field either in training or on-the-job for Search and Rescue.  We have pups right now ready to go to the cause but will not have anymore until late spring.

They love what they do and each one of them feels very special when ever they are on the job training.  They love to have a purpose.

Here is a recent pic of Detective Lacey in Training in a facility about 2 1/2 hours north of where we are located.  She has a great sense of accomplishment when working.

Please visit our website to see recent pics of our family or just give us a call.

We will be happy to answer any questions you might have about our pups.
