Raylan @ 11 weeks and 25lbs!

Here is a letter from Raylan's mom we received 04/12/13.... he has been working very hard.

Deb and Jon,
Tonight was Raylan's 5th tracking lesson.  We did 7 little tracks, around 100 yards long each.  He was successful on every one!  It's been fun to watch him transition from using his eyes, and then switch to his nose.  On one particular track, I  climbed up and over a pile of lumber and dead branches and hid around the corner.  He got to the pile and hesitated at first to climb up.  He took 3 runs at the pile, then, I could visibly see something click, and the power of the scent was stronger than his fear of the wood pile!  Up and over he went and he found me within seconds.  The bloodhound nose is truly amazing!!      .....now house breaking is a different story for a different day.

He's getting to be a big boy at 34 lbs and we truly love him.

Update!   05/13/13.
Here is Dani and Herc.  Brother and Sister.  They are both beautiful liver and tan in color, they were very hard to tell them apart when they were babies.

Remember When?

Last year we presented in honor of "A Caretakers Wish" A Bloodhound puppy named Lucy who went to Wheatridge Colorado to be part of the Search and Rescue Team.

We had a Bloodhound Reunion at this years show with over eight Bloodhounds in the SAR field that came to visit us.
