Last year we presented in honor of "A Caretakers Wish" A Bloodhound puppy named Lucy who went to Wheatridge Colorado to be part of the Search and Rescue Team.
Here is Lucy in Training
Brian and Lucy
Now... Just one year later...... She is in full gear and already working. Check her out with her owner/handler.
We had a Bloodhound Reunion at this years show with over eight Bloodhounds in the SAR field that came to visit us.
Thank you Dawn and Kevin and "A Caretakers Wish" for allowing us to become such a special part of this event!
O.K...O.K.... People have been bugging me to get up the new pics of the pups when we went on our trip out to the lake. We ran in to some friends of ours and took some of these pics for you all to enjoy.
These girls sure liked the outing and loved going for a ride.
Check'em out >>>
We would also like to add that will be micro-chipping our pups at the new owners request at no additional charge!
"We
had an interest for raising AKC Bloodhounds for SAR (Search and Rescue)
and out of a few best looking dogs, placing them in the show ring.
We
have placed several of our wonderful Bloodhounds with our local law
enforcement for SAR. From what I understand, once the job is done they
get treated to a big thick juicy steak! What a life!" (Davidson Kennels)
HERE <<<< are a couple of letters I posted a while back from people in Search and Rescue who have some of our pups.
It takes a special person to be in Search and Rescue as it does the animal to track. It's not the dog that needs trained...it's the person. There are many handlers that will tell you the dog already knows his job, it's up to you to learn yours.
We have a wonderful litter of puppies as of 05/22/2012 that will be ready for their new home around 07/20/2012. HERE <<< are some pics of the new bunch. We have them in all colors, Reds, Liver-nosed Reds, Black and Tans, and believe it or not..... Liver and Tan!
Please give us a call or email to find out more about this fantastic litter of puppies from Harley and Hannah.
We are taking names on our waiting list now so hurry and reserve your space now!
Now that you have your new Bloodhound Puppy, they all require special
things for them to grow up to be a mature healthy dog. Other than the
obvious things such as food, water, and shelter, they also require a
great deal of attention and love.
Owning a bloodhound can be tricky business if you aren't prepared.
Just as anything you would want, do your research first to determine if
this is what you are really looking for. Remember, you don't own a
Bloodhound, they own you.
Training your Bloodhound puppies can be very challenging at first but
also very rewarding later. Although the Bloodhound has a mind of his
own and once the nose takes over, it won't matter what you do to get his
attention, the ears and the eyes stop working and the nose is working
the brain to the fullest.

On a final note, Hannah is doing well and we can't wait for her puppies to be born. We figured that the pups should be here around the 23rd of May which is only 2 weeks!!! The stork is resting up ready for the big day!
I would like to close today by sharing this video of our grandson playing with puppies...............
